Operating more than 1,000 acute care, rehabilitation, and psychiatric care beds, as well as outpatient services and community health and information centers, the client worked with AHEAD through a strategic consulting engagement. After a comprehensive ‘as-is’ assessment of the current network and multiple strategy sessions, our approach was to modernize their infrastructure on converged platforms. The migration of legacy systems to one large private cloud now allows for full utilization of their data storage capabilities. Maintenance and support costs have decreased from 44% of the heath systems’ budget, to 10%. System uptime is no longer a concern due to the robust infrastructure that is now in place.
